Leo Rautins i think signed with Minnesota then transferred to Syracuse where Aleksa Nikolic just had MU offering him; some teams might have shown interest but don't remember official offers. Tyler Wahl will be a lot better than Aleksa; the coaches have scouted him enough playing against good American high players and know what Tyler brings once he hits the court. With some of the schools after him all of the coaches know his game.

You have a very good memory! Rautins went to Minnesota and transferred to Syracuse after his freshman year. Leo didn't have much success in the NBA.

With regional schools close to him Minnesota and Wisconsin, it will be a VERY tough sell.

All this is true but recruiting is a weird thing. He might decide he has a better shot at playing time here, or want to live in an area where winter doesn't start in mid November, or the Badgers could pull his offer is someone they want more commits. Credit to DD for trying to expand our recruiting footprint no matter what happens.

Believe me, I totally agree but it will be a rough road to snagging him.
