CBSsports.com veteran college football analyst Jerry Palm has released his pre season Bowl Projections for 2018-19.
First, for the New Year Six G5 slot, Palm pick Boise, saying that they have the best chance for an undefeated or one loss season among the AAC teams and other G5 programs. He has the Broncos facing off with Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl.
For CUSA teams, the opening Bowl date, December 15th finds North Texas facing San Diego State in the New Mexico Bowl, and LA Tech versus UL-Monroe in the New Orleans Bowl.
On December 18, its CUSA's FAU facing Memphis in the Boca Raton Bowl, according to Palm
On December 20, its UAB against the AAC's South Florida in Tampa's Gasparilla Bowl.
On December 21, MTSU gets the nod for the Bahamas Bowl versus the MAC's NIU.
On December 22, MARSHALL'S Thundering Herd takes on the Mountain West's Wyoming Cowboys in the Hawaii Bowl!!
On December 26, the last CUSA team, Southern Miss. faces off with Colorado State in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
Some other interesting picks by Palm include Ohio U. facing Arkansas State in the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile and on December 28, WVU faces Southern California in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.
Among the predicted match ups, I would rather see the Herd face one of the two AAC teams, either in Tampa or Boca Raton. I believe Doc Holiday, and probably Mike Hamrick, would prefer this also.
Any thoughts????????? Fire Away!!!!!
