  • I think King will edge Knox because of King's break away speed. Knox will get his fair share of yards and will be very productive also; nice problem to have with two very good running backs plus other talented RB's waiting for their chance.

  • King will lead in YPC, Knox will in Carries by a long shot and barely edge King in yards. King has been branded disliked by Doc, as our best RB usually is, and will not see nearly the amount of touches he should.

IMO, King will play in the NFL, and is by far our most dangerous player. I like Knox too but if I’m coaching I give the dang rock to #3 and let him dice people up.

  • Most of the time both should be in the game together.  Evans should get 8-12 carries a game too.

    King 20+ carries a game
    Knox 20+ carries a game
    Evans 8+ carries a game
    Green 4+ carries a game
Walden 4+ carries a game on jet sweeps or give these carries to King

Marshall should run for a minimum of 2,500 yards this year with 2 1k rb's.  I think if done correctly Marshall should hit 3k in rushing yards for the year.

Green should have 20 throws a game.  Not 30+ which I fear will be the case.

  • With a veteran line and their talent, I look for both to have a huge year - if everyone stays healthy. King seems to have upped his game this preseason. He could have a monster year. Let's hope both do.

  • i seem to recall that one of the coaches mentioned tempo recently in one of the interviews/articles (Cramsey i think).  now that Green and coaches have a yr or so together under their belt, i wonder how it will affect any aspect of the O...same for QB under center (or not) shifting between under center and shotgun.

anybody witnessed any difference in practice?

any way, the RB group/TEs have a great opportunity to shine and lead the way, instill O confidence when going gets tough.  i really like the group and especially Knox's all business demeanor and quiet toughness.

I was extremely impressed with Walden in the EKU game last year.  Kept waiting for that formation in conference play...never saw it again.  Hopefully we see him in there running jet sweeps this year.
