Topic: Can the Coaches and AP poll be combined?

Or just have 1 sanctioned poll? This multiple poll stuff is the dumbest thing ever. I guess the old BCS poll (now the college football playoff committee poll) that comes out later in the season is the only one that mattered/matters. But that really only ranks a handful of teams for the purpose of the CF playoffs.

I mean were we ranked last week or not ranked? How can it be both? But it was both. And is UCF ranked 11th or 12th this week? I guess it depends which station you view their next game. Is Virginia Tech ranked 23rd this week or not ranked at all? I guess it depends which poll you look at. Are the people who play VT this week playing a ranked team or not?

This is so stupid. Just have 1 official college football poll!!! Is that so hard? Combine the AP and Coaches together giving each 50/50 weight if we need to make everyone happy.

Its been that way for years. Wire services, AP and UPI, had separate polls for years.  Current AP is all media, newspaper writers, beat writers, sports editors, and, I believe, some radio/TV sports people.  Coaches polls are just that, done by head coaches, who usually have someone on staff do the voting.

Just win!  Thats all we need to be worried about.  We are not playing right now and I would rather our guys have a chip on their shoulder.  Go Herd!

Just keep winning and a ranking will come. Lose and it won't and wasn't deserved in the first place. A true top 25 team will blow out every single opponent remaining on the schedule.
