I think Biden meant to eliminate being depended on oil by the year 2050...even so, I was shaking my head when Biden made the oil comment. With all the technology that's growing everyday, I'm sure oil can be a main source of energy that can be safely managed to the environment.

But he said 2025 is the problem. Nobody cares if oil is gone if we have something cleaner that will power our industries and fuel grid. But we aren’t even close. They would just rather buy it from the Middle East and be dependent on foreign countries like we used to be before Trump.

When alternative energy becomes as efficient, economical and practical as what we are using now people will choose it.  It is madness to set a date on when that will happen.  When automobiles became more efficient, economical and practical than draft horses the same thing happened.
