  • UAB's defensive players swarm, close on the ball quickly, and play with fire and enthusiasm!!  The Herd, well as the TV Analyst says, "something's missing".

No mystery!!  Its in the HEAD COACHING Slot.  Blazers players believe in their Coach and want to play for him!!  Doc?  Well these last two ABORTIONS at the JOAN tell you the answer about that!!!

  • Been a fan since 1958 freshman in high school. I have never seen a coach alienate a Marshall fanbase like John has done. It saddens my heart to say that I will not go to another football game as long as John Holliday is a coach at Marshall.

  • Might as well Gaylen.  If you aren't going to get the guy in place that can win what's the point?

  • I really do wonder what behind the scenes BS happened in the locker room to cause this. Doc is a terrible coach, that's a given. But it's obvious that something else is going on that's on par with 2016.

Does anyone even care about a bowl at this point? What horrible and nightmarish things would Coastal or Louisiana do to the Herd? The team is done. They've given up.

I'm so sick of the talk of potential, we're young, and next year. Why the F is Marshall basically allergic of championships? Why can't Marshall develop a QB or have an offense? It's absolutely ridiculous.

  • Oh and if we go to a bowl game we aren't going to "salvage" anything, this team couldn't beat off right now.

What would another beat down accomplish? Louisiana is a hell of a lot better than UAB or Rice.

  • Man, good on all you folks for rooting through the good and bad times. For sticking with the herd for 30, 40, 50+ years. I’ve only been on this ride for about a decade. I’m a proud Marshall alum and will always have love for the Herd. But I can’t just sit and get my heart ripped out every year. This is freaking unreal

Piss on that Gaylen!!  Doc had plenty of time to prepare for Rice!  How did that work out?  Hamrick rigged a reason to not play Charlotte so Doc has had more than ample time to prepare for the championship game!  How did that work out?

No damn bowl game.  Tell seniors who want to start their real careers, move on, or if some want to transfer, enter the portal.  Can Doc.  Do a legit HC's search, not another phony "sham" that leaves it all up to Hammy!  Has a CAREER of miserable Head Football Coaching hires, at MU and elsewhere.

Get a legitimate search committee.  Bring in a legitimate guy before the February signing date, give him time to assemble a staff and start recruiting right away to find players who WANT TO PLAY FOR HIM AND THE KELLY GREEN and WHITE!!

  • Well, this season fell off a cliff.

Yup, 3 weeks ago the Herd was #15, the championship was a given, Coastal was overrated, and it was BS that the Herd wouldn't get a shot at an NY6 bid.

But then there were rumors of a fight and locker room drama, Rice shuts out the Herd at home, the Herd backs out against Charlotte in an extremely questionable way, and then completely sh**ts the bed against UAB.

That's Doc Holliday football in a nutshell. The only difference from prior years is that the implosion happened at the very end of the season and at home.
