  • I don?t expect him to contribute much this season.

Based on video alone Danny expects him to contribute greatly. Obviously a lot will be learned in the next 2 1/2 months

  • Based on highlight videos, Toussaint seems like a much more likely candidate to contribute right away than McKey or Fricks. He seems to be stronger in the post than either of the other two. Fricks is probably a better perimeter threat but Toussaint is considerably stronger. I am looking forward to seeing him in person.

well I hope so, we will see and we'll see if we both define "greatly" the same.

I haven't seen a lot of him so I'm hoping he is a contributor.  I expect to see as much or more of McKey but admittedly I'm basing my opinion on very limited information.

In any case, I'm excited to see what we put on the floor this year.

Mckey has tools to be good. I need to see what his motor is like in game action. Actually Fricks has been looking the best IMO. But word is Toussaint is well ahead of both. He had a year of prep and is more body ready. From video, he really knows how to work inside the paint around the basket.

with Toussaint, again, I've only seen limited film, but I'm most impressed by his athleticism, shot and ability to handle for a big, I didn't see much that made him look exceptionally strong in the paint with the ball but I hope that is true!

  • has Toussaint  been cleared by the clearing house?  If not then he'll be lucky to be cleared by second semester based on the  past performance of the clearing house.

  • Toussaint runs the floor really well. Handles extremely well for 6-10. Very good defender. Not a great outside shot and that would be his weakness imo. Fricks just keeps getting better. Danny will have a lot of options and competition inside this year. All 3 inside freshman along with Obinna are going to turn into good players as their career unfolds. AT is just a player all over the floor. But the guy that has really improved and had a great day today was Marko. He looked really good today. Early, Kinsey and Beyers are most likely starters along with AT IMO. Braun and Taylor really go at it. Braun can really get up the floor and shoot. Can?t wait to see live action against another team just to see how these freshman look when the lights are on and fans in the stands. Also we will be a much better rebounding team this year.

  • Is practice still at 2:00?  They were not there at 2:00 today but were there when I went back an hour or so later.

So Toussaint actually practiced today? Does this mean he is officially cleared to play, or just cleared to practice?

They changed it for Monday to 4:00 because of some classes being changed. Supposed to be 2:00 Tuesday.

Cleared to practice. I'm not sure his data has been sent to the clearing house yet as I stated yesterday. It takes time for the university to get the paperwork prepared. Keeping in mind he has only been in the US and on campus 1 week.

  • If clearing house has not yet ruled then I have some worries.  They have not been too good for the Herd in the past.
