Topic: Comes down to two plays

My two plays??missed FG and fumble in the end zone.  Cost us 10
Points.

Fumble really did not cost us as the team got the ball back and scored to put us up the 17 points with even less time in the clock for ECU.

The problem was the decisions after that and a horrible defense down the stretch.  Also, Wells missed a completely wide open Gammage the play before the pick to end the game.

I like the debate about what cost us, and I'll throw another one out there. Every time we're at 3rd and short or 4th and short (including the 4th and 2 mentioned above), and we try to throw the ball 20-25-50 yards down the field. Our defense wasn't horrible in the 4th quarter... they were tired. I wonder what the time of possession looked like in the 2nd half. Had to have all been ECU. We couldn't execute on offense and it wore our defense out.

The time of possession in the second half was heavy to ECU.  I believe the 3rd quarter was 10 minutes to 5 in favor of ECU.

Clock management in the 4th quarter lost the game.  Up 17 with 12:00 left and still snapping the ball with a running clock at 20-25 seconds on the play clock.  Burn some time.  On the drive we missed the FG we were running plays with 25 seconds still on it.
