Interesting quote from the article has my hopes back up about us just forming a new regional conference.....PLEASE make this happen. I would prefer this over the AAC all day every day.

Many leaders across the Group of 5 continue to express a desire to simply redraw the G5 conference maps and create regional conferences for the sake of rivalries and travel costs, believing the difference in television money isn?t all that impactful. But those with a seat at a more valuable table don?t have much interest in helping those that don?t.

There may be many Group of 5 realignment moves to come, and it could happen quickly.?

Agreed, but I don?t think there are any big payouts for G5 anymore.

It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

The whole situation gives me some serious rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic vibes at the G5 level. I just hope the AAC dominoes fall in the near future so we can just put an end to the hypothesizing.

I think the sentence after it is more telling. Not gonna happen unfortunately. AAC and MWC have absolutely no need to help. Maybe CUSA and Sun Belt can come to an agreement but I also feel Sun Belt sees the opportunity for the kill shot. Would be awesome if it happened though.

Yeah. I think that next sentence is referring to the AAC and MWC, which is fine. Not worried about them and have been counting them out for a while now. I would LOVE to see CUSA and the SBC re-organize in some way to be more regional.
