  • Hope some of you will be making the trip to the high country on Thursday.  We made the trip to your place last year and had a great time.  Hate that the game is on a Thursday, but at least it should be a great game.

Good luck to you.  Hoping for a good game with no injuries.

  • Coming over from Charlotte.  Looking forward to a fun game as I always respected and enjoyed playing App St.  Are you expecting a decent crowd?  Weather is going to be great football weather?around 50 degrees at kickoff.

I hope so?. We had over 30,000 Saturday against Elon.  Weeknight games are hard for us because a lot of our fans live at least a couple hours away.  I will be happy if we have at least 15,000 in attendance.

  • Coming up from Charleston, SC. Hate to cheer against Coach Clark because he was a hero to me when I was a kid. I have an older sister who dated him in high school. I remember being more upset than she was when they broke up. Shawn?s a great guy.

  • Coming down tomorrow from the Cincy metro area (NKY), looking forward to it.

Any advice on parking, will be staying about 2 miles away from the stadium.

App State is a tough place for visitors to park because most of the lots close to the stadium are reserved for those that buy season tickets.  It stinks, because our students have to move their cars on game day so season ticket holders can park. We park in Greenwood Lot and I know you can park at the baseball field above it for free.  Here is a link to some good information about game day:

    https://www.exploreboone.com/events/appalachian-state-university-athletics/guide-game-day-parking/

Most App fans will welcome you with open arms (and coolers) at our tailgates.  Wish this one was on a Saturday because I think the experience would be so much better.

Check out the link and if you have any specific questions please feel free to let me know.

The link above has a bunch of info about game day parking for game day if you don?t have a reserved spot.  Boone has a pretty good transit system in place.  If you are staying somewhere that has a stop, I would suggest riding the bus in.  There is an app you can download and seek all the routes, times, etc.

    https://www.appalcart.com/live-transit

Let me k ow if there is anything I can do to help out.  I would offer you a ride and invite you to our tailgate if the game was on a Saturday, but we won?t get up to Boone until about an hour or so before kick off.
