This is assuming a new conference can't be formed and our options are stay in CUSA, join the rumored AAC, or join the SBC......I choose the Sun Belt.

I've been back and forth on this SBC situation for a while now. Last night sealed the deal for me. WE HAVE TO GO TO THE SBC!.

No one in CUSA has an actual fan base like App St. Playing on ESPN is a must, even if its middle of the week. I like basketball and all, but we are a football first school the same way the SBC teams are. We just got more exposure from one game against App than we will get from every single Facebook game for an entire decade. I'm 100% all in at this point. Let's make it happen.

Assuming So Miss comes with us then I hope at least one of WKU/ODU/FAU can come with us, but if not, oh well....we still need to make the move. I will be excited if we actually make this move.

Basketball will benefit actually. We'll end up being able to get to the dance pretty often in the sunbelt. Cusa basketball is really good but no one gives it credit so it doesn't matter, just makes it nesrly impossible to win that 1 bid. The sunbelt is a much easier task to get the same prize.

I agree 100% and thanks to Bust whining about it I did some research.....our fans don't care about any "name recognition" in CUSA basketball. The biggest factors for our attendance is winning and the day in which we play.

The atmosphere at the game was better than anything CUSA opponents have produced. It was great, fans were nice but fun with some friendly jabs, students were into the whole game and came out big time. This needs to be an annual game.
