One must work with what they have; Appy has a very small town in the foothills of the mountains, trees, rocks, new buildings built right up to the stadium. Huntington has steel mills, meat packing plants, old rail car manufacturing sites, and such. We have nice atmosphere restaurants as well.
Navy had nothing in the near vicinity of the stadium
FAU is on an old air force base, nothing near it.
USM is not within a mile of a restaurant, etc.
ODU, nice atmosphere, all on campus
UNCC, city setting with no way to get to the stadium and no parking
Murfreesboro, couldn't find a thing to do or place to eat/drink.
I guess there are place we go that are much better than Huntington, but don't think it is everywhere and that we are as bad as folks portray. And I'm confident the more we downplay what we have, the more others will as well.
