Add one more point to Coal's post:
If Madden & West are gonna make their respective sports a career, one way or another, getting experience at a higher level is a good thing. Plus, other sets of coaches will have different perspectives of their sport. (I feel that West's career will be in coaching. Getting experience under a different staff would be very valuable if that's the case.)
