Free Throws are going to cost this team in March. Overall good solid performance on both ends however giving up 16 offensive rebounds kind of jumps off the box score at my eyes. Consistently shooting below 60% from the charity stripe is going to cost them no matter how it shakes out.

I am not concerned about Micah leaving and hitting the portal after this season. I think his dad knows he needs to continue to develop. As said above, he seems to like it here and hopefully he has some loyalty about us giving him the chance. NBA teams are already noticing, so playing here is getting him recognition, not some unknown prospect. Playing alongside Kinsey helps. I am sure DD is working boosters for NIL money, as is Mike.

I can see him leaving after his Junior year, if that. We'll see.

I here people saying Micah is the best big since Whiteside. Pure raw talent Whiteside was every bit as talented. But I'll take Micah anyday. When a teammate makes a bad play Micah doesn't come down the court rolling his eyes or blames others for his mistakes. Attitude means a lot. And how many times do you see a 7'1" guy diving all over the floor?

We know this game should have essentially been over by half. This is a good team but for some reason is unable to hold on to the large lead. I love the fast style of play but when they get those leads they tend to push push push and turn the ball over. Make free throws, slow it down a touch when a lead is built and limit those sloppy turnovers.

Always happy to get the win and will take it anyway they come. Pretty, sloppy, or ugly

We won by 22 points. That aggressive and fast play sometimes leads to turnovers. However, 11 turnovers isn't that bad, especially when you have 10 steals, and 26 assists. I'll take that every night.

Whiteside had more pure raw talent and athleticism. But micah has a much better work ethic and hustle to him. I agree i would take him over whiteside. Much better overall teammate and asset.

I think Micah is just scratching the surface of his talent. He may still be growing.

yep, when this team attacks, when teams cannot stop up tempo, we're great.  i think we attacked more consistently and effectively than any other, or just about any other game this year. 

so yes, we need a solid game plan to deal with ODU's pace/style in order to continue tempo, movement that can maintain team shooting confidence- need those 3s and FTs.  break even or better rebounding, continue to disrupt and get steals

Handlogten is already one of my favorite Marshall players. If he sticks with us he will have his jersey retired and be remembered for generations.

People know Conner is a solid player but they have no idea just how good he is going to be. He has a Larry Bird type BB IQ on the floor. Plus he has the entire skill set. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that we can keep these freshman because I think they will eventually take us places Marshall basketball has never been. Danny just needs to land that dynamic future PG.

I don't know about the Larry Bird comparison, but he seems to have it together for a Freshman. Only time will tell.

They better be getting an NIL package ready for Handlogton for next year. What is scary is he isn't playing close to his best basketball. And I agree that only we can beat us. We have played some very solid midmajors in App St, Toledo, Ohio U, Duquesne, S Miss, Akron and we have beat them all by double digits from 11-26 points. And that was the best atmosphere so far this season. Glad to see the students come out. And Saturday should be a blast. Oh BTW that was a great NA by what looked like a little girl but I guess she is actually 27. But wow!!!
