  • 3-0 final. Simon started over Silva. He scored one goal and had an assist. This team is loaded at the forward position. Play got sloppy when the subs came in.

  • Another impressive win.  We are attacking through the midfield in ways reminiscent of the National Championship year.  When you can attack through the midfield circle it opens up many opportunities and can break down a defense.

Tuesday will be a big tell.  Although, Pitt lost to Georgetown 4-1, which takes some of the luster off.  Remains so important to win against a top opponent at their place.

  • We look great so far, but it?s obviously still early.

To be honest, from what I?ve seen so far, we are a better attacking team this year than the National Championship team.

  • If my mind serves me correctly, this was the game that the director from England who made the MU Soccer videos was supposed to be coming to see the Herd Soccer team play with his crew.  Did they make it to the game?  Heard nothing of them being at the game.

    Any updates or info?

Those 10 years have been marvelous.

  • Pitt rated 8th prior to their Georgetown loss, so this still may be a Top Ten clash.  Saw where the game will be shown on the ACC Network as of now!

Home team is Pitt all ACC home games on ACC Network is not picked up by ESPNU.  You can get Youtube TV free for a month which has ACC Network. If you have acc network you can get ACC Network games on ESPN+. At least that is my understanding.

Xavier played their butts off defensively pressing the majority of game but we still had the better of the chances throughout.  Have to rewatch to see Pascal missed the connection in 2nd half when Roberto made pass into the box.  Uncharacteristically we only had 4 SOG out of 17 total. Grassie played lots of subs in 2nd half and the younger guys did a really good job keeping shutout. Grassie was right about Pinto. Not sure i've ever seen a more fit player.

Not surprised UK lost as they didn't look very good vs FGCU or ETSU. They may lose again this week as they play at undefeated Louisville. UCF beat 2nd ACC team this season by taking down NC State. JMU and WVU continue to roll. 13 of top 25 lost or tied.

I actually loved sitting in smaller seating area for game opposite the main grandstand. Very close to field so you can hear the communication between players. Also in the shade. Crowd was 1700+, which ranked 10th in country for weekend in games through Saturday. Talked with parents of a Xavier player. They were very impressed by MU team and game atmosphere at Hoops.

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS
