  • GJ Kinne is a great coach.  He is my coach of the year preseason. Lots of football history in his family.

  • Exactly why our next HC should be a wide open offense guy. Screw the defense wins championships mantra. Never been true for us. Our best teams could score points at will.

Agree with this.  They want to help the attendance issues?  You start with an exciting offense and the rest will work itself out.  MU fans (most) are salivating for good QB play and a good offense.  Before anyone says that we can't get a qb due to NIL, just don't.  Many programs year in and year out find and have a D-1 qb.  Personally, I think we should go after whoever scouts and develops for WKU staff Qb's and hire them immediately.  We are just completely inept when it comes to finding and developing a D-1 QB.  Albany recruits qb's better than us, let that sink in....

Now with that being said, I think the defense eventually gels and starts playing lights out.  Not last year good, but a top 25 defense.  If we can get to 8 wins I would be ecstatic, but as of right now we are not a Championship caliber team.   Just more of the same here in Huntington, if Huff cannot get it done this year it is time for a different direction IMO.  We changed coaches to get us to the next level (conference championships) and so far that has been a complete failure.

No way is not getting a QB is NIL related.  Almost every team we play has better QB play.

I 100% agree.  Just a reason I have heard many times from fans.

So the 2026-2027 season, Fancher will be out of eligibility, we might get a downfield passer that can run too.
