  • Is Kadarius Calloway faster than anyone in our secondary or did it just look that way yesterday due to bad angles?

65 to 75 yards to catch Kadarius Calloway on more than one occassion and no one did.  Abraham came close, but I couldn't tell from where i was setting whether it was just a good angle or Abraham was faster.

  • It will interesting to see what he does in the next game, because he hardly did anything up to our game.

  • I believe Abraham was the only one that was gaining ground on him.  We have a fast "D", but he was breaking away from most procurers.  I would like to know how fast his time are?

  • He was a 4-star out of high school who initially went to Alabama. He's a legit athlete. Whatever led to him going the JUCO route and on to ODU had nothing to do with his top-end speed.

  • He was faster.  Even crazier is that our LB Jocory Anderson outran Roberts our S on that attempted catch.  ODU gets guys drafted.  They have athletes.

  • Hopefully, he puts together a video highlight of his runs yesterday and puts it out on various social media, etc.  Result   he will be long departed from Norfolk, VA, when next football season rolls around!!

  • They were spreading us out and running up the middle on a defense that had no linebacker or safety in the second level in the middle of the field.

Not exactly. He enrolled at Alabama in Spring of 2021 but left before spring ball and went to a JUCO in Mississippi. I think it was because he changed his mind about his position. He was recruited as a safety at Alabama. His JUCO coach said the reason he left Tuscaloosa so quickly was that he just wanted to be on the field. My theory is he wanted to be a running back. His initial goal had been to go back to Alabama when he was ready to step in and play but that obviously didn't happen.

He was a top 100 player nationally out of Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Long story short, as has been mentioned above... he is clearly an SEC caliber athlete. So while it was frustrating that we couldn't catch him, it's also true that he's not a typical SBC athlete at running back.

  • We watch Ali do that to defenses almost every week once he gets to that second level.  That guy's probably faster.  He just had our number.  Saw something he could exploit.

  • More concerning is we couldn?t catch their QB either. A RB up the gut has a 20 yard head start on the corners, don?t expect him to get caught, but the QB?

Good analysis, doesn't explain at all how he ended up at ODU.  While the facts are good, the reason he ended up at ODU is because they had money for him. Bet on it (hehe)  If he is this good, with the history you describe, there are a lot of places he could have ended up, including in Green and White, if they had the money and the opening on the field.
