Morris started 3 games as a freshman in 2022, but he played in 5 so he didn't get to redshirt.

Their plan was to do that this year while Armstrong finished out his career, but Armstrong has been so bad they decided it's time to break the emergency glass. He was getting booed by his own fans mercilessly in between "We want Morris" chants. Students were threatening to boycott games if Armstrong remained the starter.

Morris has pretty good stats from his 3 starts. 52/86, 648 yds, 7 TD, 1 INT. 49 carries for 88 yards and a TD. Came back from down 21-3 to beat Wells and VT 22-21 in his first start.
