Bigger issue is person in charge of the on screen graphics. Super slow with down and distance. Halfway through 3rd quarter and it still said 2nd quarter etc.

Yeah, that was annoying.

IMO, MM's PxP is dull and lifeless, which annoys me more.

Hated Randell as a coach, loved him on the air. 

Lee needs to retire or find his real knitch in life.  Whatever that maybe it isn't in anything he's done since retiring from playing.

Actually, the problem is that is "our A team".  Mark Martin is the sportcaster for our official affiliate (which has always sucked since it moved away from WSAZ, and Lee is apparently who they got after Doug Chapman can no longer be around.

Coach you confirmed the rumor I had heard about Chapman.

Its almost unwatchable how bad it is. Carl Lee is terrible and Mark isn't much better. Its a very very very bad product.

Keith would do it in a heartbeat if asked, but since WCHS has the MU media rights, not WSAZ, they cant use a competitor.

I see it both ways.  Yes, Carl Lee has been bad so far, but I'm willing to give him some time to see if he gets better.  For me Mark Martin is not so much bad, but he's very bland.  He brings nothing of interest to the broadcast.

I watched the replay last night. Mr. Lee stated "that was almost a catch" (if I am not mistaken). My response was like "DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Mark Martin seems like a nice enough guy but I have been tired of listening to him for years. It seems like he mailed it in long ago and just sleepwalks through the broadcasts now.

I remember listening to him pregame before we played Ohio in 2019. He was supposed to give a preview of the Bobcats and said merely, ?Ohio does what Ohio does.?  Earth shattering.

Also recall him opening a pregame show in the middle of the disastrous 2016 season by talking about how Litton was a QB who just keeps getting better and better.

I actually grew a distaste for it. It was good schtick once or twice, but afterwards just wore on me.

I give Carl Lee a pass. He hasn't been a professional broadcaster at all & AFAIK has had very little training for it. It's not as easy as those color commentators make it sound on the networks...especially with the limited production crew that's available for the ESPN+ broadcasts.

MM, on OTOH, has been in the business for decades. Most of it as the sportscaster on about the 3rd tier local station in the Huntington-Charleston area.

The product that was displayed on ESPN+ this past Saturday was an embarrassment to the Marshall & to the SBC.
The announcing, the graphics, the direction, the camera work were all below a professional product.

Seems to me that most ESPN+ broadcasts of MU sports in Huntington are poorly put together.
