Congratulations to Cam!  He deserves it.  I for one haven't given him a fair shake and I was wrong.  He could be a good one if he sticks around for a couple more years.

I hold our QB to championship standards, because I want to win a championship.  I thought we easily had a championship defense last year and missed out on a massive opportunity because of inept quarterback play.

315 yards 2tds passing, 2 tds running is night and day different than

140 yards passing 0 tds, 2ints and game after game not running for a TD

Now that our defense has shown its problems we are gonna need more out of the QB to win games.

The defense absolutely should be held to the same standard. I'm not sure you fully understood my response. Just saying the D is gonna get a little bit of leeway with the fanbase based off of their body of work for the first 3 games of this season and the last 2 years.  Qb will always take the brunt of criticism, but they also get all the glory.

Until the offense shows it can consistently score(past 2 weeks they have) they are going to have their doubters

I hesitate to even respond to you because i question if you can be reasonable.  think you may be one of those people who just have to be right, regardless what it means for Marshall or every member of this message board and you will not stop until you get the last word in.

I'm not like that, I quickly admit when I m wrong and always want the best for Marshall and respect this board and the people on it.

I'm not giving the defense a pass.  However, until the last 2 games the defense was solid.  Last year the defense held teams to 11 points per game during Cam starts and this year the defense closed out the last two games prior to this one.  If the opponents score we lose or if the defense gives up scores during our comebacks we lose.   Also, the defense forced 3 turnovers that lead to point against NC State.

I have said this before as well, I hope Cam Fancher becomes the greatest QB in Marshall history.  I hope he breaks every single record we have and leads us to 3 championships.  I'll eat all the crow you can serve me.

Congratulations to Cam.  He has grown quite a bit the last couple of weeks.  He still has stuff to work on but he seems to be playing with more confidence and looks like the staff has turned him loose.

He?s passing the ball much better.  WR dropping balls.  If he reduces his turnovers to + positive more he?s very good.  We need a 3-1 TD to turnover ratio.  Rushing counts too.  2 pass / 1 rush (3) - 1 TO

D is going to have to tighten up in some of the upcoming SBC games.  Lot of league teams are putting up high 20s, and in the 30s or more ppg game.  Offense will have to be MORE productive scoring wise, IMO, also if we are going to come out with enough Ws to be in contention for the League Championship Game!!

I just want to say his TD pylon run was super athletic, and on par with any big-time play/player.

Yes the INT killed us.
Yes he was running for life 1/2 the game.
Yes he missed some touch throws.

But that play was well done.
