  • Prior to the App State game Huff talked about having to produce and if you don't you'll be pulled. However, when Fancher doesn't produce he continuously gets trotted back out there. The contradictions bother me.

He is a fraud.  He says one thing and his actions say another.  I posted this on HN.  That's what is really going on internally with this team.  He says that if you execute and produce you play, but there are no repercussions if he likes you.  The players see he plays favorites and have given up.  They know Fancher can't beat anyone so why try.  Imo that is why he brought up the culture, not because our culture is awesome, it's because there is a major locker room division.  Call it a Fruedian slip if you will, or him trying to reach his players on what he expects on the locker room.

  • Seriously what's up with the fluff questions? Has the media been told they will be banned if they get tough? Has the AD/President requested it stay this way? It's very strange that nobody asks anything hard.
Our people asking questions has always been soft. Going back to the Mark Snyder days. I think those guys doing those jobs are worried they won't be invited back to the press room if they were to "cross the line" and ask the real questions that people have on their minds. Weak.

  • My .02 is he won't try another QB because none of others are really equipped to be a read option QB (running threat) except maybe the Rice transfer. I don't know if he is struggling in practice or hurt. When Huff was hired I thought he said he wanted to play a pro style offense (2 backs, 2-3 WR vs 4, TE).  We have yet to see that. That might be a better offense and makes it much easier for the play action game. I haven't seen enough due to channels the games have been on to comment on the schematics but can't imagine they are much different than last year. I pray they are able to get it together.

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • Do they still have the call in show and allow people at the location to ask questions?
I think questions are now only tweeted in the Steve Cotten

  • I long to see things like a Ron Darby running behind a lead blocker out of the I-Formation. But those days are long gone I'm afraid.

  • Huff's watching a different game than I am.  He spoke of the slant that Appy ran at least 3 times on 3rd down and said we had a defender on his back every time.
HUH??!  Everyone in the stadium and watching on tv knew what play they were running and we couldn't stop it!!  Didn't adjust.  There has been 0 changes to the gameplan.
Also, just skip to the 7:30 mark and listen from there.  Tells me all I needed to hear.

Do you have inside info to confirm this or are you speculating on what you see?  I feel that you are probably right but just wondering if you have info or just what your eyes are seeing.

Like I said in post.  Just my opinion, but just follow Huffs words and mannerisms over the years.  Huff is a smart guy(not a good coach) and every press conference is thought out and meticulous.  He has a message to the fans and team.  Most of it is just intuition, rather than than information. My professional is to read people for a living and this is how I feel.

I appreciate the insight and sorry I missed where you said just your opinion. I feel the same, just wondered if there was anything else to it.

Sorry if that sounded smart butt.  That wasn't my intention, I unfortunately do not have any insider information, just a gut feeling based on his past actions.
