The buyout would not have been an issue and I believe based on he immediate changes that Huff would have been let go if he lost yesterday.

We can afford to give 2 year deals to assistants so if next year doesn't work out you just have 1 year buyouts at low amounts for a couple of coaches.  It speaks volumes that Huff has not been given an extension and is coaching for his career.

The cards are on the table and he has to win or he is gone.  SBC is not easy as 12 teams are going bowling.  I think the heat will go if our offense is fun to watch.

And I wonder what has to happen for Huff to save his job next year. I'm assuming we'll go 2-2 out of conference with losses at Ohio State and VT. Is it SBC title game or he sees the door?

Well, if he at least DOESN'T go 2-2 in OOC play, Stony Brook in season's opener and Western Michigan, both at home, round out the non-conference foes, he should be canned BEFORE we start conference play!!

When Doc finally got rid of Rippon and brought Heater in, it drastically changed our potential.  I'd like to see that happen something like that next year.  I'm not even saying that I think that will be the case, I'm just saying as long as we're wishing...

Honestly when you think about it we have been up and down since Huff fired the Oline coach after ND game.  We shoved it down NDs throat and our Oline play has not been the same since.  The line looked decent this past week and who was removed from coaching them a couple weeks ago?  Just saying the biggest issue being removed may have not been Tricket but Legg.
