I heard on the radio that over 500 of them gave up scholarships to enter the portal.  All these players think they'll get paid big $$, they might not even get picked up at all.

With history as a trend, roughly 80% of all players who enter the portal do not find a landing spot.

  • JCs need families to pay tuition.  They have to come from someplace.

    Last year, it was 57%.

  • Not a very impressive group of QBs.  A few big names and then it drops off fast.  It is still early, I'm sure more will enter after bowl season.  Huff and Doege should look hard at top FCS QBs.  I would like to see 3 QBs added from the portal to give us a chance at a true competition and depth.  We can't put all our hopes in one experienced addition from the portal.

Obviously the number will go up as the portal entries increase. Only so many spots available.

  • Should be a "Banner" Spring for NAIA and Division 3 coaches Nationwide!!

Especially if you use MU as an example because when all is said and done, I'll bet half of our departures this winter for the Portal never belonged in a legit D1 program to begin with!!!

I think this maybe the players that enter this year.  The players that entered last year and the previous years that were never selected may not be listed.

This is what the website I used claims

The On3 Transfer Portal lists all college athletes that enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, including data on the previous and new school, player rankings, and overall team transfer rankings.
