So they no longer need College HOF and NFL HOF to be named, or am I thinking of a different MU HOF or Ring of Honor thing???

Always Thought College HOF and especially NFL HOF requirements were crazy, especially for a G5 program.

The criteria to have a number retired at Marshall is College Football HOF and NFL HOF. The Marshall HOF is a lot easier to get into but still very prestigious.

Kudos to Cato, McPeak and Tommy.  The number of "Green" games seems more Kermit than optimistic.  I guess "it's not easy being in final year of your contract."

Wouldn't the 17th vs GSU be a better day for homecoming?  I mean scheduling homecoming for App St seems pretty bonehead to me.  They return everybody including coach and QB.  Not saying we can't beat them, but GSU would have been a little more in our favor than App will, imo.  Would also give us another week of practice to come together when everything about this team is new.

GA State is a Thursday game. App is our only home Saturday game in October.

I didn't look at the actual days, just saw the dates.  Still call it poor planning for homecoming.  GSU is not some marquee matchup that needs to be on a Thursday for TV.

Based on the 2 opponents, GA State is the best opponent for National TV, if we want the HERD to look good and WIN before a National TV audience.  Not saying the Appy State won't be televised, but if we're looking for an "easier" potential "W" to watch on a nationally televised game, I'd say that GSU fills the bill!!
