All we can take from this game is the positives. We looked pretty damn good vs #3 OSU who, by they way, paid out $20M from their own budget to buy some of the highest ranked players in the nation. This does NOT include additional payments to individual players paid from individual NIL contracts, maybe another $20M??
Most, and I understand all, of their top Junior players from last year who could/would have normally declared for the draft stayed because they had not won a conference championship nor beaten Michigan, not to mention perhaps being paid up to a million or more to do so. We did not quit at the end, we were already beaten and merely gave some kids a chance to play in that amazing atmosphere to show what they had while protecting our best players from injury vs. one of the most, if not the most, talented teams in the US of A. Their third stringers playing at the end would never even consider Marshall as an option.
