  • Glad Green got to 17.  I did think he would have been more dominant over there QB, especially after the one went down.  But if they're focusing on Green then others have opportunity and they kept pressure on the O all night.

Louisiana did not a play a defense like that all year.  They had no idea what to do.  Defense wins championships.

The Herd D was helped in that the Cajuns' 3rd string true freshman QB was pressed into service for a significant portion of the game after the starter & backup were knocked out of the game in consecutive plays, IIRC.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

Was actually their 4th string.  3rd string been out all year with an injury according to their fans.  But they weren't doing much better before that happened either.  Their first string was out for a few weeks and they were still winning games.  Wasn't like they gave us an easy interception or something with the new guy.  That INT was one of the best catches I've ever seen.  He worked for that.  Wonder if he stole the ball.

  • i was very surprised, but it set in after a few series that we prob were the better team, if not yet dominate.

losing their far better QB sealed the deal.  it appears they can indeed recruit QBs, especially if we saw their 2nd or 3rd or 4th stringers

i'd still like to see both teams play another in top form, all the best players playing- i can say that after securing a trophy, haha.
i heard the announcers say that ULL kept 90-some % of their players from last year.  i think that has to be near the top of CFB.

hope the next head coach can recruit great coaches and players, depth on the O&D lines like Huff did.  Huff is not the only winner out there, but credit to him.

Injuries are part of the game. Last year we suffered a lot of injuries and it might be the reason why we didn't have a strong finish. It happens; just like star basketball player fouling of a game. You adjust and keep playing.
