  • It should be whoever the bowl coach determines the starter to be.  Not who the fans think it should be.

  • IMHO, it should be whoever the incoming coach wants to see play in a very competitive game, with short prep time.  Telle Lockette's opinion means nothing, matters not, in the long run; unless he has been offered and accepted a role on the new staff.

    The bowl game doesn't affect Gibson's prospects.  It's Lockette's call.  They gave his opinion weight when they asked him to do it.  It matters.  What if his retention depends on his coaching performance in that game?

  • I figure Gibson will be scouring the portal looking for a QB. Nothing against the guys that are left, but I doubt they will figure in his plans.

  • Nice to see the videographer and social media guy go with Huff.

    Any closer to the Camera and Lockette will be out of focus.

    A couple of takeaways;
    Only three press people asking questions. There isn't much media left in Huntington.
    Since it is finals week, he doesn't know how many players will be available for the bowl.
    If we have the players to safely play the game we will go to the bowl. If the numbers aren't there, I would guess we might be going to the bowl.
    He wasn't sure of how many of the assistant coaches would be available for the bowl. There will be a meeting of the coaches soon.
    Morehouse asked If Cole would be the QB and Lockette mentioned Cole and Paracheck and "others" might be available.

    Mr Lockette has a big challenge facing him at the moment.

  • Tough situation for Coach Lockette for sure.  Spoke a couple of times about putting a good product on the field.  I hope he is able to do that.  Sounds like he has no idea what coaches or players will be available.

    If his retention depends on his coaching performance in this game, he is being very unfarily evaluated.  Anyone who is judging a coach (maybe you mean his off-field approach during the lead up to the game) on the field with the guys we have left, and the time to prepare for an offense you see every three years, with a Heisman candidate, you shouldn't be judged, you should merely be thanked.

  • the best one deserves the start.  then, playing time for any/all if the game is out of hand one way or the other.
    Parachek was the most visible (yellow vest) on the sideline all year working hard for the O/QB group so i don't know what the rest of them were doing on game day.
