The weird thing about the 2020 cancellation was that it was blatantly obvious that covid was just the excuse to cancel. Unless it was just a total coincidence it happened right after a giant, very public team brawl, with the police involved, that half of Huntington saw.

But yes, this cancelation is a much bigger deal since it impacts multiple conferences, sponsors, and TV contracts. It's just the same sort of nebulous excuse about health and safety.

There was an ex-poutie player Doc had brought in right in the middle of riot, IIRC. At least poutie players can only destroy 1 or 2 of our seasons, as opposed to ex-poutie coaches.
