I think we have talent to compete in this conference. But Corny needs to get more toughness and discipline from his team to execute, especially on the road and be more consistent at the FT line.

No D1 team should even have to consider FTs.  If they can't hit 70-80% in their sleep they shouldn't even make a squad, unless they have some serious other attributes, like Shaq.  But being known for getting fouled because you can't make foul shots is a liability, too.

But that is the problem. Just competing in this conference is lowering your bar. I can't say it enough that this conference blows especially this year. No matter what conference we are in we just hope to compete and finish around the middle or little higher. When we entered a good CUSA we scrapped and finished in the middle but had some pretty good and tough teams. Now we are fading into the SB and just competing. Why not try snd field those teams like Donny Jones or Herrion first couple years and blow this conference out of the water?

If you look around I would guess 80% is at least 50+ year old people and most of those above 60. If they allow this to continue for another 10-15 years there won't be 500 in the stands. A recruiter and promoter of the program Huck style!!  And mark Cline may be a nice guy but talk about over staying your welcome. He was here with Herrion then 10 years with Dan and now Corny. And he has got very comfortable because I never saw him do much of anything. The BB program has been on a decline for a few years with no end in sight. And what's worse is no urgency to make it better.

At least they don't sit on their behinds, texting about every missed shot, foul, or turnover!

Corny should have never been given the opportunity to be our coach.  No other D1 program would have hired him to be their HC.

.                                                                                                                                     The exact same thing could have been said about Danny Boy!!  Hire coaches mainly, or solely, because they once played at MU, or allegedly ?Bleed Green?, and then Smith/Spears better be finding some more $$ to buy tarps to cover ALL the Upper Level seats!!
