HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University is playing its Conference USA baseball home games in Charleston for a second season.Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, home of the Class A minor league West Virginia Power in the South Atlantic League, will host the Thundering Herd again in the 2007 spring season.ADVERTISEMENTMarshall will play host to C-USA series with Tulane, East Carolina, Houston and UAB in Charleston."We are looking forward to the opportunity to our upcoming schedule," said first-year Marshall coach Jeff Waggoner said. "Our nonconference schedule will prepare us well for conference play, and Conference USA will be strong as always."Marshall opens the season Feb. 16-18 at Charleston Southern, then returns to Huntington the following weekend to open the home portion of its schedule against LaSalle in a three-game series at University Heights Field.C-USA play begins March 23-25 in Charleston against Tulane, an NCAA tournament team last season.Marshall went 22-32 overall and 6-18 in C-USA last season.
