  • It's on ESPN at the link below.

Damn! That's what has Eddie so evasive. Home and home with Florida State. I guess I can understand why we're an afterthought.

Oh well, time to move on.

  • This is similar to the deal that brings Louisville to the Cam.

  • Interesting. I guess there was some truth to the rumors that Tranghese (spelling?) gave Big East schools the order to upgrade their SOS.

Maybe we can quit talking about them now. They have their plate full and so do we.

  • This is something that has been going on for over 20+ years. For all of those fans who want to talk about above the board. This has finally came down to dollar's and cent's. There is a lot of "supposedly" under the table money going to FSU, from WVU, if they will play this game. That is the line out of LV.

    GO THUNDERINGHERD!

  • It has nothing to do with the BE commish asking teams to upgrade their schedule. This is about settling a law suit.

If it wasn't for this lawsuit WVU and FSU would not be playing. If it wasn't for the C-USA exit contract U of L and Marshall wouldn't be playing.

  • It's a court settlement people.  Don't thank Pastilong or Hardesty for this one.  I'd find it ironic that the courts are giving them a 1-1 yet WVU balks at the talk about Marshall using political or judicial pressure.

    Hypocrites.

  • Unfortunately, it's being murmured that they have a 2nd SEC school already lined up for 2006 and 2007. Not Mississippi State, but possibly one of the Alabama schools and even chatter of the Big 10. That Big Least commissioner issued all Big east schools the ultimamtum to upgrade their SOS's. It is starting to become clearer that it's time for us to move on.

  • Cabellpride, you are not one of us, you are a coward, and very definetly a traitor. You can use any name you want, but it tastes like chicken to me. Hey, I'll call Kenny in, if need be, he's better at this than me.

    GO THUNDERINGHERD!

  • And its been rumored we have a deal with Pitt, a Big 10 school and a SEC school. Until contracts are signed thats all those deals are just rumors.

Look, WVU has 5 non-conference games to fill a year. One contract is not gonna fill their schedule. If the want to play the game its possible. There is plenty of room on both schedules if both schools want to play the game.

WVU will not be able to schedule 5 home games w/o 1-0 deals with the bottom feeders of 1-A and 1-AA schools.

  • i agree that it's time to move on, but this game means nothing to that point.

it is a good series for wvu. but, they still aren't going national.  in fact they have played many acc games in bowls (and lost) and currently out of conference play maryland of the acc every year and will play va tech in a 1-1 that will probably end the series....and other than that they have a low end sec team (miss state( that recently lost to a 1-aa team.

besides the 1-aa, ecu and mac games...they still only have three 1-1 series excluding maryland...miss state, va tech and fsu...three series doesn't effect us in the least.

they still play 7 conference games...there are 12 games on the schedule.  doesn't effect us one bit, however it does give them one more in a long line of excuses.
