I agree with Wolfman.  I welcomed each wish and can live with all.  To discuss the most current, I'll be the first to say that I wanted Mark Snyder as our coach.  I have started to think that it may be a mistake, but we'll know for sure by season's end.  If this team has a winning record the remainder of the season, I will be disappointed overall but hopeful.  If it's worse than 4-8, It'll be time for a change.  I think it's funny that prior to the season I predicted that we would lose 4 or 5 games this year and we still have a chance (slim I know) to finish at that mark.  It looks bleak right now, but how much medicine would an upset out at Tulsa provide?

Randy Shannon (He was available at the time)
Tyrone Nix (A former Southern Miss player and coach who is currently Spurrier's DC)

Would Marshall seriously consider a minority Head Football Coach is the question?

Yes, it was time for him to be gone. Not my fault our AD is incompetent when it comes to hiring coaches for the two revenue-producing sports

I assumed we had hired an AD with the requisite skill to take us to the next level. We got into CUSA, but Kayo's choices for the two revenue-producing sports have crippled our growth.

When you are limited to a choice between Kueck and Snyder, thanks to Kayo's inability to conduct a proper search, we got the better of the two choices. Why? At least Snyder can recruit. If he can't get it done, there will be talent in the cupboard for the next guy.

So basically, if we get rid of KO everything else will work itself out?  Seriously though, Marcum needs to be gone.

That is one wish that we have been saying for a long time that we have not gotten. We have been begging for Marcum to leave and it has yet to happen. He keeps getting extensions for some reason.

I think about that with Greg White from time to time.  The issue with Greg White was that he had done as much as he possibly could with the program and it was glaringly obvious.

Now, With Snyder.  Things cannot get any worse as far as on field performance of the football team.

Why be careful...That is an excellent wish list.  Imagine if the opposite were true:

- Still in the MAC?
- No Ohio States, no Kansas States, No Georgias, No WVU's, etc.?
- Still have Greg White?  People did not want to get rid of White in order to get a Jirsa.  The cause and the effect of the result are two seperate issues here.
- The Lance West situation reminds me of our current one...Real nice guy, just shoehorned into a position that he probably wasn't ever really qualified for.  Frying Pan / Fire.
- You would have to qualify "Most"...I for one never thought he was qualified to take over a program that had reached the level we had.  I imagine for every one who was for his hire, there was at least one who thought we could do better if the administration would have just gotten off their collective (@/:; and conducted a real search.

Snyder probably wasn't the first choice, but he's what we ended up with.  He is going to get at least this year and next---regardless if we win 1 game or not.  He's our guy deal with it.

Also, my choice for the football coach was Donnan or Mickey Matthews who weren't even considered.  :-?

I still like all of those things.  The exception is Snyder.  I wanted Donnan.  But even if you did wish for him, that's no reason to accept the reality of all this losing!
