People, people, people. By now you should know this will not work, why?
The MU AD hasn't said a word. For things like this to work, you need the AD, Marshall administration going with an all out media blitz, a FEW weeks before the game to get everyone fired up and on the same page.
Blogs won't reach the thousands of fans that the HD or WSAZ do.
I admire the passion and zest, I'll be there with the family, but until MU starts to promote and market these ideas, they are DOA!
I think we are too caught-up in that Penn State game a couple of years ago and try too hard to copy them.
So damn many are making this more complicated than it is...
First ... This is not to "copy" PSU ... It's not to look like PSU ... It's not to look good for TV ... Is that part understood yet ... Is it starting to sink in.
This is for the team ... They have been ridiculed for weeks now ... Many of us have chose to do something differnet to show our support ... To let them know that we have their back and always will.
If you don't like the idea or don't want to be a part of this this then simply wear a different color ... Many of us will wear white in a sign of support.
It's not difficult.
This has nothing to do with the MUAD ... This has to do with "fans" ... many of us want to do something as a sign of unity ... I'm happy to be a part of it ...
I like the idea and will be glad to participate ... I don't need a month of promo's to figure it out.
You have seen the idea ... Now the choice is yours ... Get on board ... Or don't.
If you don't that is fine ... Still come and bring your family to the game ... You won't be judged.
It's just a sign of support ... That's it ...
On the walk the team and staff will know what those in white signify ...
If you are wearing another color that is fine too ... At least you are there.
Too many are trying to make too much out of this ...
Those that I've talked to will be wearing white.
