  • Took a look out back of the CAM to see the progress of the new tennis courts.

They have a gravel base laid and packed down.....don't know about the drainage system....couldn't see it.
They also have a foundation for, it looks like, some type of seating between the old existing 3 courts that are in dire need of being redone and the 3 new ones.

Looks like if the weather is half decent, the 3 new courts may be ready by the spring season and hopefully the "bleacher seating" between the old and new courts.  (How about backs to the bleachers so sitting won't be so bad for the older folks that have the $$ to donate to the University?).

The main question is:  What's going to be done about the old 3 courts that are cracked, and do not have an even surface and inadequate drainage?   Are they going to redo them or just slap a coat of green paint on the top?

So, if the old courts are not going to be "redone"......we will be playing on courts (new and old) with two different surfaces...which equates to different ball speeds when played on......not good.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
    The Shadow knows!
