  • Stanford is getting ready to work on a different kind of stadium project.  The university will spend $85 million to reduce seating from 85,000 to 50,000.  Last year Stanford only drew more than 40,000 fans once in six home games.

After the renovation, Stanford Stadium will only have 50,000 seats, while Oregon State has 43,000 and Washington State 35,000.  I hope none of those teams have any interest in hosting WVU as the Mountaineers just don't play in such small stadiums.

  • Each one of those schools has a better name than wvu.  And you can bet you paycheck they would schedule a 1 fer 1 with either of them anyday of the week.

    Capacity: 50,026 (from 85,000)

Better never ask the EERS for a 1-1, they will want a 2-1 or even a 3-1.

  • Stanford actually is demolishing the whole stadium and building a completely new one on the existing ground. I have been there and it is dilapadated and in complete decay.
