  • DJ, You have done a great job finding resources and appearing to be informed. Since there is so much information for me to review, I will reply to each accusation independently.

On McCain's record of voting against veteran funding.

Of the four examples that were given here are the results:

    Amendment Number: S.Amdt. 3704 to H.R. 4939
    Failed by vote of 39-59
    McCain – Nay
    Obama – Nay

    Amendment Number: S.Amdt. 3642 to H.R. 4939
    Passed by vote of 84-13
    McCain – Nay
    Obama – Yea

    Amendment Number: S.Amdt. 3007 to S.Con.Res. 83
    Failed by vote of 46-54
    McCain – Nay
    Obama – Yea

    Amendment Number: S.Amdt. 2745 to S.Con.Res. 95
    Failed by vote of 46-51
    McCain – Nay
Obama – Prior to becoming a Senator

So in 28+ years of service, John McCain has voted against veterans benefits four times. Four time in 28 years, that's horrible! But then keep in mind that three of those four amendments actually failed to pass! So in 28+ years of service John McCain voted against a bill that actually passed one time. I see you point now, how can he live with himself?

I finally got around to researching them.
    Great Job DJ!

  • McCain hanging with felons?! And Italian felons at that! Then off to a bigger party with he Kremlin!
In mid-September The Nation's website published a photo of McCain celebrating his seventieth birthday in Montenegro in August 2006 at a yacht party hosted by convicted Italian felon Raffaello Follieri and his movie-star girlfriend Anne Hathaway
    http://www.thenation.com/doc/20081020/ames_berman

DJ, it appears that John McCain did indeed have some type of communication with Raffaello Follieri, an Italian Felon. Why that matters, I don't know, are Italian felons worse than American felons?

But there are some important facts that you are forgetting. The article stated that McCain was photographed with Mr. Raffaello Follieri (An Italian Felon) on his 70th birthday.

So now lets look into how old John McCain currently is. Well, Senator McCain was born on August 29, 1936, that makes him a vibrant 72 years of age. So since this photo was taken on McCain's 70th birthday, that means it happened on August 29, 2006. Remember that date.

Quote from: ABC News, Sept. 10, 2008
Anne Hathaway's ex-boyfriend pleaded guilty this morning to an elaborate con that netted him millions from unsuspecting investors -- and ultimately cost him his actress girlfriend.

Raffaello Follieri, 30, appeared in Manhattan federal court today where he entered a guilty plea as part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors to reduce his sentence and avoid trial.

    ABC NEWS LINK

So by looking at this news release, we can easily see that Mr. Raffaello Follieri (An Italian Felon) did not become a felon for over two years after that photo was taken. So since the photo was taken a full two years before he become a felon, Senator McCain couldn't have known that he was a felon, since he wasn't a felon yet, and an Italian one at that!

So if you are trying to use this arguement to compare McCain's realtionship with Mr. Raffaello Follieri (An Italian Felon) to that of Senator Obama's relationship with William Ayers, there is something that you need to look at. William Ayers committed his terrorist bombings before Obama knew him, and Mr. Raffaello Follieri (An Italian Felon) become a convicted felon two years after a photograph was taken. That would make me think that if it were such a close relationship, then there would be a more recent photograph than that, wouldn't you think?

I finally got around to researching them.
    Yes you did!

  • Concerning your article on the "Joe the Plumber" issue. I read your article and it didn't disprove anything. It only discussed the salaries of Plumbers in the United States. But if you would have heard the conversation between "Joe the Plumber" and Sen. Obama, you would have heard that "Joe the Plumber" was CONSIDERING purchasing a plumbing business and was questioning how he would be taxed under Obama's plan IF he made more than $250,000 a year! Here is the YouTube video showing that.

  • What a lame explanation.
If that was Obama celebrating his birthday with that Italian felon, you would be all over it.
You need to reread the article and see where McCain ended up going to after that boat ride with the felon.
