WOWK-TV made a programming change last Saturday.

The regularly scheduled "Darius & Cody Show" was postponed.

In its place was a spinoff, starring the Marshall offense's supporting cast.

The Nielsen ratings?

Who cares?

The new show might not win an Emmy but it certainly won the Tulane game, leading the Herd to a 31-10 win over the Green Wave in the Louisiana Superdome.

Roone Arledge would have been proud.

"It wasn't just Cody Slate and Darius Marshall today," said Marshall coach Mark Snyder during his post-game press conference. "It was a whole bunch of guys, stepping up and making plays when we needed to make plays."

Instead of the usual leading characters -- Slate and Marshall -- it was several guys that usually play bit roles.
