  • A few people have mentioned that is would be a good time to "tweak" our uniforms.  I love our current shade of green and would be pissed to see us in a darker green, i.e., Ohio, North Texas, etc.

Secondly, I wonder if this is the year the block M on the helmets get changed to the updated M?  My guess would be no, Pruett has said that they had a block M when he played and that is what he'll have as long as he's coach.

Personally, I want the new M on the helmets, perhaps the field, etc.  If anyone has notice, the EA Sports college football game replaced the block M with the revised M on Marshall's helmets.

EA Sports, from what I can remember, has always had the logo M and not the block M that are actually on our helmets.  Don't know why, but I speculate it's because they simply haven't paid that much attention and don't realize that our helmet's M is different from the logo M.  It bothers me though and I wish they'd get it right.  NCAA 2005 is still the best PS2 game out there, IMHO.

  • I would be furious if they changed the uniforms; especially the kelly green color.  The block M is classic also.  I seriously doubt they will change that.

The only thing I would suggest is that they could possible come up with an alternate jersey in black.  I think that would look really sweet.  All black jersey and pants with green lettering with white background.  I doubt that would ever happen but it's a thought.

  • I've told this story before, but I think it's pretty relevant here. Went to the fantasy camp last year (worth the money) and when Coach was talking about when he changed uni suppliers (I think to Nike) they said something about changing and he basically said, we've won more games over the last ten years wearing these uniforms than any other program in the country...how exactly are you going to improve on that. Got the feeling that the unis are staying as they are so long as Uncle Bobby is driving the bus.

  • Pruett said on his radio show this past season that the green they wear is the same color green he wore as a player and it wouldn't change while he's the coach.

About as blunt a statement as I've heard from him.....folks, it ain't changin'

  • The color green is fine, actually I prefer it. My question is if we put a logo on mid-field what will it be? If it is an M, will it not be the new M. And would it not look funny with one style on the helmet and another field?

  • I hope they never change the uniforms.  I love that color green more than the darker green.  It wouldn't bother me if the put the new M on the helmet as long as the rest of the uniform stayed the same.

  • I say leave the uni's alone.  That dark green doesnt appeal to me or most Herd Fans.  I do however like the idea of an all black uni for special road trips.  I think those would look really good.  But definitely, DO NOT CHANGE THE GREEN!!!

  • We would never be able to wear all black on the road unless it was a bowl game. Home teams always wear dark, except LSU.
