With the league scheduling rotation in cross-division games, it appeared the Herd could avoid Houston QB Case Keenum. But Keenum's Heisman campaign was cut short by an ACL tear in the third game vs. UCLA, and he was granted a sixth season.

Keenum returns with maximum weaponry at his disposal, starting with WRs Patrick Edwards and Tyron Carrier. Edwards (71 receptions, 1,100 yards, 13 TDs), you may remember, was the victim of a gruesome broken leg in 2008, courtesy of a misplaced yellow band card behind the Edwards Stadium end zone.
