Will there be any TV for the Ear Game this year ?

Us out of towners want to know. Maybe The Herd rolls in this last one, finally gets the monkey off our back, and sends WVU off to the Big 12 with an ass-kicking.

    One could only hope.

The date and time have not be nailed down yet because of TV. Most likely on one of the ESPN chanels.

I have read that the most logical time would be Thursday night. Sunday seems to be the 2nd best option from what I read. I don't have the source available.

  • The exact date of camp opening isn't decided yet because of the lack of a firm date.  The staff apparently doesn't want to start to late and not get in the maximum practice time or too early and run out of legal practices 3 days before the game.  From what the players are hearing, Sunday is the "leader" right now.  I know at least one player's parents have scheduled their flights around the game being a "Sunday Night Football" opener based on something that they've heard.

FX?  The cable network with Sons of Anarchy?

I thought that wvu owned all of the TV rights for games in the football series?  I can't imagine that they'd even field a phone call from a network that has no sports programming other than MMA.

While that channel probably reaches more households in America than the channels involved in the CUSA TV package, I can't believe that it would even be on the radar.

Yep, they had some college football on there last year and are scheduled to have big 12, PAC 12 and cusa this year.

The game's rights belong to the B12, who have a deal with Fox, & it looks like Fox wants to put it on FX.

I didn't realize that the B12 assumed the rights to wvu's games --- forgot about that tidbit.

Interestingly enough, Fox doesn't think that Marshall vs. wvu is worthy of better than FX?  And there are people on here who think that there will, ONE DAY, be a CUSA game on Fox National?  LOL

If this matchup, on a day where there is no competition and limited programming, isn't good enough for the national broadcast network, there is absolutely no chance a CUSA conference game will ever make the network.  Oh well, at least we might get on Fox Sports Aleutian Islands out there dying to broadcast a Herd game or two!

  • If WVu could, they would hide it on Disney W in case they lose.

FX is a step up from FSN.

USM @ Nebraska is on ABC, so I don't think its impossible to get on FOX. We just need the right match-up and not be as sucky as we have been in the past.
