and it dawned on me that even though we blew a 23 pt lead in the 2001 MACC game and lost to Toledo we wouldn't have been shipped off to Mobile and had the opportunity to witness one the greatest comebacks in MU history.  As they say "It was meant to be."

Actually, we would have been in Mobile regardless because Marshall would have been able to choose which bowl game.

I stand corrected then.  Anyway I have taken practically the whole month of June and now into July converting my tapes to DVD and I'm still not finished.

We accepted the bowl bid to Mobile immediately after the Ohio game that year. I believe it was the next to last regular season game. As Pruett said, "We accept, and we'll bring the thunder."
