    THE CATAMOUNTS
-- Western Carolina has tallied just six wins in the last four seasons and only two over teams not named Mars Hill.
-- The Catamounts are just 11-56 dating back to 2006.

    THE OFFENSE – QUARTERBACK
-- Former Marshall quarterback Eddie Sullivan won the job during spring practices but was suspended for the first game of the season against Mars Hill. True freshman Troy Mitchell made his first start as a Catamount becoming jusT the third true freshman to start at QB for WCU since 1992. The young gunslinger was 20-of-29 for 149 yards passing, although he was sacked three times.
--Sullivan just might get to make his first start at Joan C. Edwards Stadium although it will be as a visitor. During the WCU spring game Sullivan was 17 of 27 passing with 207 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 54 yards rushing on 13 carries.
