Two players who won't be on the court Saturday when Marshall's Thundering Herd plays 11th-ranked Cincinnati are Dre Kane and Kelvin Amayo.

Kane won't play, and is out indefinitely, as the result of a hand injury. Marshall head coach Tom Herrion isn't providing specifics about the injury that sidelined his leading scorer (15.0 average) who is also ranked third in the nation with 8.5 assists per game.

Amayo is an academic non-qualifier who enrolled at Marshall in January and doesn't become eligible until after the fall semester ends Tuesday, provided he makes the grades.

Some Marshall fans seem to think Amayo is the answer to a need at the point guard position, especially now that Kane is out, and he might prove to be that. But, without any practice time he can't be expected to work miracles.

I think he does this ALL the time. Nothing wrong with it, but you'd think he'd have more inside info than we do.
