  • Not a bad performance?  Really? Just got beat by ECU.

Oh, yeah.. the #4 seed in the league. Have you noticed what they have done this year? They are the  best shooting 3-point team in the league, one of the top FT shooting teams and they have the league's top scorer. Yes, THAT ECU!
Today, I consider myself, the luckiest man on the face of the earth..

  • Yeah I've noticed they have a whopping RPI in the high 90's. Not real impressive if you ask me.

  • ecu's the #4 seed in a 1-bid league -- what a pwrhouse they must be.  are they anywhere remotely close to the ncaa bubble?  not hardly.  in the conversation for an NIT home game?  doubt it.  thus, i'm not impressed, either.

  • Terrible loss. ECU isn't anywhere close to even making the NIT.

  • folks, we are div I.  our brethren within that division include Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, other div I top 25 schools . . . cusa, mac, maac, all the way down.  top 25 schools, ncaa tourn teams worthy of an at-large bid if they didn't win their crappy conference, those are losses that "aren't bad losses."  those are teams we can lose to & still qualify for a "decent showing on the road."

Hofstra, south Dakota state, Houston, ecu . . . these are NOT good teams!  they're "not terrible" teams in a pathetic conference, quality-speaking.  other than MEM, there are no "good losses" in our conference.

if any of our fellow Div I brethren mentioned above lost to these so-called "good" teams we've lost to, they'd be resume killers on their ncaa tourn resume.  so, if it's a "bad" loss for 1 div I team, it's a "bad" loss for any div I team with any kind of ambition at all.

we've lost to a LOT of bad teams this yr, fellas.  ecu -- road, home, neutral -- is a bad loss.
