Topic: Womans softball plays UK on Friday in the Regional

Friday the woman will play UK again in the Regional in Lexington. I hope that all the close Marshall fans and Alumni will make the 2 hr trip to support the Herd. Lets take away the home field advantage away from the Cats.

On April 9, we lost in Lexington 4-3, so we've played in that environment and COMPETED...doesn't sound like we'll be overmatched...as a matter of fact, we led 3-1 going into the bottom of the seventh (there are some video highlights of the game at the UK website)...finally, the SEC tournament was also held in Lexington, but the Wildcats (38-18) lost to South Carolina in the opening round, so they're eminently beatable...

I'll be watching on ESPN3, I hope there's a lot of Herd fans there!

Interesting that C-USA (4) has more bids than either the Big Ten and Big East (3)...also, I noted that TOSU (34-22) did not make the field ;D ;D ;D...

UK has a really nice facility - new facility at that.  There was over 1,900 at the SEC final which includes 1,500 reserved seats.  Hopefully tickets are easy to come by this week.  I am sure a good amount of Central KY Fans will go to the games.  We have our Coaches Tour stop here next week so this weekend would be a great way to get things started.
