  • As a former student manager,  I still know people who give me access to some of the unseen locker rooms  especially on the woman's side.  Monday,  I got a look at the woman's basketball and volleyball locker rooms and could not believe my eyes.

These are possible the nicest locker rooms in the country for these sports. The Herd aAsst EQ Manager told me the woman's bball locker rooms would be second only behind North Carolina

Herd sports has come a loooooong ways  and still coming strong.

  • Mens basketball is top notch.  If I played hoops at Marshall I would never want to leave the locker room.

  • I have been in the women's and men's basketball locker rooms and they are top notch.  When the renovation was done, they were really fixed up nice.  The locker room updates and meeting room updates in the Facilities Building at the stadium was nice as well.  I can't wait to see the Indoor Practice Facility.

  • Men's and Women's Basketball Locker Rooms are mirror images (almost)
of each other. They were designed and built first class and will stand up
against any school locker rooms even the "Big Boys".

The Women's Volleyball Locker Room upgrade was a project wholly done
by the volleyball booster club and its supporters.  It was done during the
Marcum era and he didn't care if they wanted to spruce it up, just so it
wouldn't cost the AD any money.  Not only did the upgrade "spruce it up"
but they redesigned it and made it a first class locker room.
When the old regime saw the fantastic results, they wanted to take the
credit.....but that was the old regime.

Matt Daniel and Mitch Jacobs should have no trouble in bringing in top
quality recruits with locker rooms of show place quality.

    OK, guys.....top quality recruits.

Apparently that did happen a couple of times last year. At least mentally.
