  • Yet another example of the MAC getting NO respect:

    Quote
Best Coach – Frank Solich, Ohio – By Big XII standards, Solich became a lightning rod for criticism after replacing Tom Osborne at Nebraska.  By MAC standards, he’s a coaching legend.

So...let me get this straight.  A coach that basically has done nothing except run a grand program into mediocrity is automatically the best coach in the MAC over a guy (Joe Novak from NIU) that took a mess of a program to the top 25 or another (Brandon from BUGS) that took a good team and made it border-line great?

    Stupid CFN   :-?

  • He is the best coach in the Mac without a doubt. W 58, L 19 in the big xii .753 winning percentage - Third winningest coach in Nebraska history. I would say that is a pretty good record. He took over Nebraska at a strange time and should have never been fired. Auburn was going to do the same thing to Tommy tubberville and look how it turned out. I think Ohio got a steal and I hope he sticks around for a while.

  • I'm not saying he won't be successful, but its going a ways to call him the best coach in the MAC right now.
