Unlike our program, which gets a ton of exposure from various outlets, I was struck by how little coverage ECU apparently gets...the Greenville paper only had two short stories, although I'm sure that more is available to internet subscribers...the only paper that I found that had a Pirate POV and quotes (granted, I didn't check all the NC papers) was the Charlotte OBSERVER...ironically, the article was penned by the H-D's Tim Stephens...

I'm telling you people don't care about non bcs schools, in general...

It's primacy...That's why there is one NFL, one NBA and one MLB.....500,000 websites to shop at and people use amazon, ebay or their favorite store's site....

UCF has it the same way, they have one paper that covers them.... When O'Leary got pissed at them for running him down...He banned them and they wrote....UCF banning us is like "turning your nose, at the only person willing to go to the prom with you"....

The only difference is UCF and ECU are building their universities first, amassing huge student bodies and they are "big" enough to do something about it and they are obsessed with one upping the traditional athletic powers in their respective state....

We are lucky that we live in a small state and we've been playing 100 years....We don't get anywhere near equal coverage, but we get more than most....

We just need to be the premier non-Bcs school...The "boise" of the 2010's...

It was great to read the Charlotte Observer with a Picture of Steward Butler running past an ECU defender.Marshall 59 and East Carolina 28 was at the top.  This is especially sweet as I have friends who went to ECU and ECU had humiliated both the University of NC and NC State. ( those schools are all you hear about in Charlotte.
