Great! Just great. If Chuck's information is accurate, this type of reward system is incomprehensible. In my world, Herrion should and and would have been gone last year. But since that ship has sailed, this year it would take be a minimum of 60 percent wins during the season, two conference tournament victories to hang around for another campaign and that improvement on the floor passes the eye test. Anything less and he's in a "gots-to-go" situation. With Doc, this would be his watershed year and given the schedule, 8-4 is the low end of the bar that should have been required with a bowl win. Also, style points matter as well.
I'm a big fan of my alma mater, but in the case of the athletic department, it doesn't operate like the business it is when it comes to personnel management. As of right now, I'm emotionally withdrawn from both sports and any success from this day forward will be a total, but pleasant surprise. However, I have no expectations.
