Topic: ECU Game Experience

I wrote last week that my son and I have never been to a home game and the HERD lost. The streak continues. But the greatest thing that happened was staying at the same Hotel as the team. They arrived at the hotel around 6, Doc walked in front of me, I shook his hand and explained that I played toe the HERD in the 70's. He could have told me that he was busy and had to go to a meeting. Instead, he talked to me for several minutes, his eyes are so focused and intense. When we were done I said "Win tomorrow". He looked me straight in my eyes and said "That's the plan".  I have total respect for the man and what he has accomplished for Marshall. My son and I went to dinner, when we came back, I must have walked through the wrong door. I walked into a conference room with all of the players, I talked to many of them and discussed the game the next day, Showed them my lifetime pass to all HERD home games, they were impressed to see it. All the players that I met were true gentlemen and very respectful. This experience reinforces why I bleed Green and love THE HERD!!!!!!!!!!!  :D :D :D :D
